Sikich has built an internship experience that provides students with real work assignments related to their major that are recognized as being valuable throughout the firm. For example, accounting interns are responsible for preparing statistical and account analysis to aid in the preparation of financial statements. They prepare various tax returns and reconcile accounting work papers, fixed asset reports, and tax journal entries. The length of each internship varies, but is usually between 3-6 months, depending on the needs of the business and our clients. Sikich hires interns in various locations across the country.
Interns have access to all the technical tools and resources they will need to succeed in their roles, and are offered flexible work arrangements to ensure they can balance their studies, work, and personal lives. The firm provides real-time feedback and provides its interns with the opportunity to participate in performance review cycles. Continuous innovation is important to the Sikich culture and has been identified as a core value of the firm. Sikich provides interns with on-the-job training and other training opportunities through Sikich University, the firm's learning and development program. Various leadership and core development training that combines a blended learning approach via instructor-led and within virtual environments are accessible to the firm's interns.
