Persona's summer internship openings are generally based out of the company's San Francisco office. Interns work in a hybrid arrangement, spending part of the week in person at the office and part working remotely. Engineering interns work with the company's technology stack, which includes Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, React, and Redux for web development, along with Android, iOS, and Python for other parts of the platform. Responsibilities typically include full-stack development work, data modeling, and schema design.
The program focuses on direct collaboration with engineering teams on real product work. As a technology company built around an identity verification platform, interns are exposed to work supporting compliance-related use cases such as Know Your Customer and anti-money laundering verification, onboarding workflows, and fraud prevention tooling used by client businesses.
