Fox Rothschild hires associates with excellent academic performance and work experience from a range of national law schools and regional schools near the hiring office. Coworkers are collegial and collaborative, and they enjoy working and socializing together. Partners are approachable, respectful, and invested in associates’ professional growth, and they seek input on case strategy from associates. Formal training, including CLEs and practice-group-specific training, is provided, and associates say that the informal mentoring they receive is useful. An orientation program and mentors help laterals with onboarding at the firm. Work assignments vary, running the spectrum from litigation to transactional tasks, and they are substantive and client-facing. Fox Rothschild’s billable requirement is 1,850-1,900 hours (depending on the department), and 100 of these hours can come from non-billable activities, such as pro bono work and cultural engagement participation. Compensation varies by office and is below the market standard; however, it reflects the lower billable requirement and a trade-off for work-life balance. Employees enjoy a reliable document management system, development and responsible use of AI, and platforms that help them work effectively. Wellness is advanced through unlimited PTO, telehealth services, gym membership reimbursements, and wellness challenges.. Career prospects in the firm include counsel, income partner, and equity partner. Associates who leave tend to go in-house, to other firms, or to the government.
