About Robinson, Bradshaw & Hinson, P.A.

Robinson Bradshaw is a growing, full-service firm based in North Carolina. The firm has more than 170 attorneys practicing in a broad range of practice areas in four offices across the Carolinas: Raleigh, Charlotte, and Research Triangle in North Carolina, and Rock Hill in South Carolina. Robinson Bradshaw represents clients all over the country and emphasizes collaboration and collegiality amongst its attorneys by, among other things, not tying compensation to any individual attorney’s billable hours or originations.

Southern Roots

Robinson Bradshaw has been an active pillar of the North Carolina legal community since its founding in 1960. The firm operates as a full-service, corporate-focused law firm, and as it has grown, it has chosen to focus on strengthening and deepening its ties to the community where it was founded. Now with four offices, one just over the border in South Carolina, it remains deeply committed to its communities, boasting the former mayor of Charlotte among its team of professionals and a demonstrable years-long commitment to organizations such as the Endowment Campaign for the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture and the Carolina Theater renovation project, among several others.

Wide Ranging

With dozens of practice areas across four core departments—litigation, corporate/transactional, real estate, and tax/wealth management—Robinson Bradshaw is a multi-faceted force whose reach goes way beyond the Carolinas. The firm has secured particular recognition for its litigation practice, and is frequently lauded by publications such as Benchmark Litigation, U.S. News, and Chambers. Robinson Bradshaw litigators handle disputes of all kinds, ranging from sports and entertainment to intellectual property and health care to antitrust, among many others. They also feature a reputable real estate practice that serves clients in fields such as government relations, land use and zoning, and environmental law. Distinct from these, their robust tax and wealth management practice focuses on areas such as employee benefits and executive compensation, trusts and estates, and nonprofits.

Diversity Efforts

Within the firm, affinity groups for women (the Robinson Bradshaw Women’s Initiative) and attorneys of color (the Lawyers of Color Affinity Group) help to foster an inclusive environment for diverse attorneys. Women are prominent in the leadership of the firm, serving as members of the board of directors, general counsel, practice group leaders, and firm committee chairs. The firm’s recently developed Diversity and Opportunity Fellowship provides students with diverse backgrounds and experiences an opportunity at hands-on learning and networking via a summer associate position, as well as scholarship funds toward law school expenses. In addition, the firm partners with its community to promote DE&I by, among other things, its long-standing participation in the Charlotte Legal Diversity Clerkship Program and its membership in the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity.
