Performance reviews are twice a year, enabling faster growth, more regular bonuses, and more regular opportunity for promotion. Promotion decisions are based solely on performance, not on time-in grade, and are very fair. We have a mentor program plus opportunities to receive regular feedback and coaching from our internal project team. One minor issue is that longer-term growth goal-setting is really up to the individual, and sometimes the trajectory is a bit unclear; it is up to the individuals to be proactive in order to address these things with their mentor / manager.
