About FTI Consulting Inc. EMEA
FTI Consulting has grown from a small forensic consulting firm founded in Annapolis, Maryland, in 1982, into a global business advisory firm dedicated to helping organizations protect and enhance enterprise value in an increasingly complex legal, regulatory and economic environment. The firm was founded as an alternative to the Big Four—back then, the Big Six—but over time, with the turmoil in world markets, the advent of Sarbanes Oxley and the emphasis on transparency and objectivity, FTI Consulting has had a great impact on world affairs in a variety of different capacities.
With more than 8,100 employees located in 32 countries and territories, FTI Consulting has grown to become a market-leading global consulting firm by serving as a trusted advisor to its clients in both good and bad times. From headline-grabbing engagements, including the Bernie Madoff investigation, the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy, the Bush vs. Gore dispute, the Major League Baseball steroid case, the Ed Sheeran copyright infringement case, and many more, the firm has played a role in matters that have shaped history.
Breaking down the business
The corporate finance and restructuring segment focuses on strategic, operational, financial, and capital needs of businesses by addressing the full spectrum of financial and transactional challenges faced by companies, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies, and other stakeholders.

FTI Consulting’s professionals combine end-to-end capabilities when clients face high stakes litigation, arbitration, and compliance investigations and regulatory scrutiny.

It delivers sophisticated economic analysis and modeling of issues arising in M&A transactions, complex antitrust litigation, commercial disputes, international arbitration, regulatory proceedings, and a wide range of securities litigation. Its statistical and economic experts help clients analyze complex economic issues, such as the economic impact of deregulation on a particular industry or the amount of damages suffered by a business as a result of particular events.

The firm helps clients root out fraud, maintain regulatory compliance, reduce legal and IT costs, protect sensitive materials, quickly find facts, and harness data to create value.
Finally, the strategic communications segment provides advice and consulting services relating to financial and corporate communications and investor relations, reputation management and brand communications, public affairs, and business consulting.
