About FTI Consulting, Inc.

FTI Consulting has grown from a small forensic consulting firm founded in Annapolis, Maryland, in 1982, into a global business advisory firm dedicated to helping organizations protect and enhance enterprise value in an increasingly complex legal, regulatory, and economic environment. The firm was founded as an alternative to the Big Four—back then, the Big Six—but over time, with the turmoil in world markets, the advent of Sarbanes-Oxley, and the emphasis on transparency and objectivity, FTI Consulting has had a great impact on world affairs in a variety of different capacities. With more than 8,000 employees located in 33 countries and territories, FTI Consulting has grown to become a market-leading global consulting firm by serving as a trusted advisor to its clients in both good and bad times. From headline-grabbing engagements, including the Bernie Madoff investigation, the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy, the Bush vs. Gore dispute, the Major League Baseball steroid case, and many more, the firm has played a role in matters that have shaped history.
