About Level5 Strategy
Toronto-based consultancy Level5 works with clients to develop the strategy and the commitment to deliver it. The firm’s “Strategies that Stick” brand promise highlights its strategy-first approach and hands-on execution, helping to ensure its work is committed and aligned to a clear path to implementation.
Organizations typically come to Level5 when they need to plan for a better future, accelerate growth, become more customer-centric, build alignment in complex environments, navigate change, strengthen brand impact, solve the unsolvable, and turn Strategy into Action and Performance.
A challenger’s perspective
With a small but mighty team of consultants, the firm takes pride in challenging its clients. The goal is to become a trusted partner in the organization’s growth and performance journey. The firm begins its consultancy projects by listening to clients, developing a deep understanding of their needs and opportunities. From there, it brings in a mixture of experts—ranging from entrepreneurs, subject matter experts, and industry leaders—to facilitate difficult conversations early in the process. That way, when it’s time to work through solutions, the team can focus on pragmatic solutions that unlock value in a realistic way for the brand.
Along the way, Level5 strives to help its clients build ownership of the solutions it provides through its collaborative approach. They work alongside their clients as if they’re a part of the business, using their core values of accountability, integrity, openness, and ambition to build trust and break down barriers to change.
A culture of community
Level5’s culture is built on a foundation of its shared values – accountability, integrity, openness and ambition. The firm works hard to create a safe environment that cultivates inclusivity and fair access to opportunities, where diversity of thought, background and experiences are celebrated and valued.
The firm helps bring this goal to life through a dedicated DEI team, which includes every role at the firm, plus external subject matter experts. This team stewards the firm’s DEI strategy and identifies opportunities for improvement. It oversees dedicated DEI training for staff, a DEI scorecard that uses KPIs to anonymously assess how well the firm is living up to its vision, and community outreach events to connect with communities across Canada.
Level5 also participates in Canada’s 50-30 Challenge—a collaboration between the Canadian government, Canadian businesses, and diversity organizations—every year. As with other organizations that join the challenge, it sets two goals: 50 percent women and non-binary people in board and senior management positions, plus at least 30 percent representation for other minority groups.
Impact beyond the firm
In addition to helping its clients grow business, Level5 strives to improve the world around it. The firm’s Meaningful Impact team leads efforts to drive its social impact strategy, focusing on areas such as youth, education, poverty, and mental health. It encourages its employees to get involved through three pillars of impact: organizing charitable giving, offering pro bono and low bono services, and providing organized time for employees to volunteer with their communities.
