Best Consulting Firms to Work For

Which firms fare best on these individual rankings of key employment factors?
Survey Methodology

When it comes to a satisfying work experience, there are many different factors that come into play—everything from a job's ability to challenge an employee and the training and mentoring to the number of hours spent working or travelling each week, and the compensation that the employee takes home for doing their job. All told, we have identified 20 separate "Best to Work For" factors—each of which is represented by its own ranking. These rankings help to build a picture of the firms consultants find the most amenable to a fulfilling, satisfying work experience.

Survey respondents were asked to rate their own firm across a variety of factors that affect their daily working lives. Those factors are:

  • Benefits
  • Compensation
  • Firm Culture
  • Firm Leadership
  • Formal Training
  • Health & Wellness
  • Hours in the Office
  • Informal Training
  • Innovation
  • Interaction with Clients
  • Internal Mobility
  • International Opportunities
  • Level of Challenge
  • Overall Business Outlook
  • Promotion Policies
  • Relationships with Supervisors
  • Satisfaction
  • Selectivity
  • Work/Life Balance

Firms were then ranked in each category based on the average rating assigned by their own consultants.
