ZipRecruiter.com reports lower average salaries ($68,326) for private equity accountants. Earnings ranged from $34,000 to $108,500 in 2025.
The U.S. Department of Labor reports that accountants and auditors earned median annual salaries of $79,880 in May 2023. Ten percent earned less than $50,440 and the top 10 percent earned $137,280 or more.
