Work Environment
Unlike some of the more high-profile VC jobs (such as venture capitalists), accountants and auditors enjoy a good work/life balance. Their work hours are pretty standard, usually 9 to 5, Monday through Friday. Advances in technology even allow some accounting and auditing professionals to work at home or in other remote locations. Some employers offer flexible work schedules, such as Fridays off during the summer in exchange for longer hours during the rest of the week.
