Unions and Associations
Venture capital associates do not belong to unions. The National Venture Capital Association, the flagship trade association of the U.S. venture capital industry, has more than 300 member firms. The CFA Institute, Chartered Alternate Investment Analyst Association, Investments & Wealth Institute, Association for Financial Professionals, and Investment Management Consultants Association provide financial-related certifications and continuing education classes and webinars. The Association of Women in Alternative Investing, Women’s Association of Venture and Equity, and Women.VC are membership organizations that seek to increase the number of women who are employed in venture capital and other alternative investment industries.
