Venture Capitalists

Unions and Associations

Venture capitalists do not belong to unions. Some have founded or are employed by firms that are members of the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA), which bills itself as the “voice of the U.S. venture capital community.” The NVCA offers professional development webinars, model legal documents, an industry events calendar, statistical research, a blog, and a list of regional and state VC associations at its Web site. Membership organizations for women in the VC industry include the Association of Women in Alternative Investing, Women’s Association of Venture and Equity, and Women.VC.
