Employment for financial analysts is expected to grow by 9 percent through 2033, according to the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), much faster than the average for all occupations. As economic activity increases, the need for financial analysts also grows. The DOL reports that financial analysts will be needed to evaluate opportunities to invest in new businesses or existing businesses that are expanding. Analysts will also be needed to "identify business trends, reduce risk, and deliver new products or services to clients."
