The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reports that the employment of gaming services workers including cage cashiers is projected to have little or no change through 2032. Job growth will be tempered by the increase in online gambling. Many job openings will be due to the need to replace cage cashiers who retire or leave the position for other opportunities. As states benefit from tax revenues generated by casinos, additional states not currently host to commercial gaming establishments may allow new casinos to be built over the next decade. If so, these new facilities will generate additional jobs.
