Biofeedback Therapists

Overview

Biofeedback training is a process that helps patients gain control of their responses to stress, anxiety, physical strain, and emotional stimuli. Special instruments monitor a variety of physiological conditions, including heart rate, skin temperature, muscle tension, and blood pressure. Biofeedback therapists assist patients in interpreting the information gathered through monitoring. They help them learn to control individual body functions and reactions in ways that can decrease stress and alleviate the effects of a wide range of disorders, such as migraine headaches, gastrointestinal concerns, and epilepsy.
