Casino credit managers working in gaming facilities are generally salaried employees. As casino credit may be requested at any time or issues involving credit may arise, credit managers may be asked to work various shifts including the day shift, swing shift, evening shift, or even overnight. They may also need to work on weekends and holidays.
Casino credit managers may work in land-based casinos, on riverboat gaming facilities, or even the casino area of cruise ships. It should be noted that those who work on cruise ships will need to be away from home for the duration of the cruise.
While individuals may be in an office, they still are near the gaming floor. The gaming area is often noisy because of slot machines and people talking, laughing, and having a good time. This may distract some individuals and make it difficult to concentrate and work. Additionally, as some casinos still allow smoking, there are individuals who may be disturbed by the secondhand smoke.
