Unions and Associations
Veterinary technicians do not typically belong to unions. Membership organizations include the Academy of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Technicians and Nurses, American Association for Laboratory Animal Science, American Association of Equine Veterinary Technicians, American Veterinary Medical Association, Association of Zoo Veterinary Technicians, Canadian Veterinary Medical Association, and the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America.
