Unions and Associations
The Graphic Artists Guild is a union that represents the professional interests of illustrators. Membership organizations for medical illustrators and photographers include the Association of Medical Illustrators, BioCommunications Association, Guild of Natural Science Illustrators, Health and Science Communications Association, and the Society of Illustrators. The National Association of Schools of Art and Design accredits schools that offer training in photography and illustration.
