Unions and Associations
Athletic trainers do not belong to unions, but many join professional associations such as the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) and the American College of Sports Medicine. These organizations provide networking opportunities, professional development classes, publications, and members-only job-search resources. The Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer provides voluntary certification.
