Unions and Associations
Some tire technicians are members of unions such as United Steelworkers and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. The U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association is an association for manufacturers of tires, tubes, roofing, sporting goods, mechanical, and industrial products. The Tire Industry Association represents tire manufacturers, repairers, suppliers, and related companies. ASTM International develops standards to improve product quality and safety.
