Wealth management associates do not belong to unions, but there are many professional associations that provide continuing education (CE) classes and webinars, networking events, publications, and career resources. For example, the American Bankers Association offers extensive CE programs and a job bank, publishes the ABA Banking Journal, and hosts the Wealth Management & Trust Conference. According to its Web site, Women in Insurance and Financial Services is “devoted to advancing career opportunities, providing professional development and representing women's interests in a male-dominated industry. Through attraction and retention, and a unique focus on mentoring and networking, WIFS is the largest women’s association empowering women in the finance and insurance professions to succeed."
