Insurance Policy Processing Workers

Outlook

The U.S. Department of Labor predicts that employment for insurance processing workers will decline by 4 percent through 2033. The increasing use of automated processing and billing software and other types of technology that increase worker productivity are expected to reduce the need for workers in the future. The DOL predicts that all insurance processing worker job openings will result from workers retiring or otherwise leaving the field. Employment opportunities should be best in and around large metropolitan areas, where the majority of large insurance companies are located. There may be some opportunities for temporary or part-time work, especially during busy business periods.
