The International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) is an organization for those in law enforcement. The IACP addresses issues confronting law enforcement though advocacy, programs and research, as well as provides training and other professional services. The Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) is the world's largest organization of sworn law enforcement officers, where membership is divided into more than 2,200 lodges. FOP works to improve working conditions of law enforcement officers and the safety of those they serve through education, legislation, information, community involvement, and employee representation. Other useful organizations include the National Association of Police Organizations and the International Association of Women Police. Many other organizations are available to police officers based on their where they work.
