Outlook
The U.S. Department of Labor does not provide an employment outlook for the career of political speechwriter, but it does report that job opportunities for all writers will grow 5 percent from 2023 to 2033, about as fast as the average for all occupations. It is safe to say, given the prevalence of politics and the importance of effective communication in the world today, that political speechwriters will have steady employment opportunities for the next decade.
