Real Estate Writers

Real estate writers may obtain union representation from the National Writers Union. They also may join professional associations such as the National Association of Real Estate Editors and Society of Professional Journalists. Other useful organizations for real estate writers include the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications (which accredits postsecondary programs), Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (a nonprofit, educational association of journalism and mass communication educators, students, and media professionals), and National Association of Realtors (the leading organization for real estate agents, brokers, and other professionals). The Editorial Freelancers Association is an organization for freelance writers, editors, photographers, and other creative professionals. It provides continuing education, networking opportunities, and other resources.
