Crime analysts may belong to the American Federation of Government Employees; American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees; and other unions. Many crime analysts are members of the International Association of Crime Analysts, which offers certification, continuing education opportunities, an Analyst Mentoring Program, and other resources. The International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts is another major organization for crime analysts. Members can participate in its certification program and are granted access to job boards, tips and advice, and current industry developments. It also offers a mentoring program. Other noteworthy organizations include the American Society of Criminology and National Criminal Justice Association.
