Drone operators who are members of the military are unable to join unions. Most UAS pilots do not belong to unions, but those who are employed by state and local law enforcement agencies may join unions. The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems offers membership for college students and UAS professionals, publishes Unmanned Systems, and offers webinars and conferences. It has more than 7,500 members from government organizations, industry, and academia.
