Hypersonics Engineers

Overview

Hypersonic technology consists of missiles, aircraft, and other airborne objects that can fly at speeds of at least Mach 5, or approximately 3,800 miles per hour (mph). A typical fighter jet can fly anywhere between 1,500 to 1,900 mph. Hypersonics engineers develop, design, and test hypersonic technology.
