Hypersonics Engineers

The ideal job candidate has a graduate degree and three to five years of experience working in lower-level hypersonics or missile development positions. Candidates who have only earned a bachelor’s degree and who have completed an internship at an employer that conducts hypersonics research may be eligible for low-level research positions.

Successful hypersonics engineers have excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and time-management skills; patience; adaptability; creativity and ingenuity; a strong drive for results and continuous improvement; and a willingness to learn throughout their careers.
