Investment Banking Analysts

Unions and Associations

Investment banking analysts are not members of unions, but several professional associations provide useful resources. The National Investment Banking Association hosts conferences that provide networking and professional development opportunities and offers a Conference Internship Program for college students. The CFA Institute offers the chartered financial analyst credential; the Claritas Program, which covers the essentials of finance, ethics, and investment roles; membership (including with state-level affiliates); and continuing education classes and webinars. Other useful organizations include the Association for Financial Professionals, Futures Industry Association, International Association of Investment Bankers, International Association for Quantitative Finance, CFA Society New York, CMT Association, National Futures Association, and Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association.
