Salaries for Foreign Service officers with a bachelor's degree and no professional experience may start at $57,932, according to the State Department. Those with more professional experience and/or a master's or law degree may start at $72,935 or more. Senior Foreign Service officers, including those with doctorate degrees and more than nine years of experience, may earn up to $117,444 annually or more.
