Salaries for film and video librarians depend on such factors as the location, size, and type of library, the amount of experience the librarian has, and the responsibilities of the position. Librarians had median annual earnings of $64,370 in May 2023, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. Ten percent earned less than $38,690, and 10 percent earned $101,970 or more. Librarians working in colleges and universities earned mean annual salaries of $73,890, and those in elementary and secondary schools earned $71,800. Librarians employed in local government–funded libraries earned $62,360.
