Library and Information Science Instructors

Overview

Library and information science instructors, also known as library science educators, instruct undergraduate and graduate students in library and information science at colleges and universities. They lecture classes, lead small seminar groups, and create and grade examinations. They also may conduct research, write for publication, and aid in administration. Approximately 5,300 library science educators are employed in the United States.
