Floor Covering Installers

Floor covering installers may belong to unions such as the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, and the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers. The Carpet and Rug Institute provides information on rugs and carpeting to consumers and businesses, as well as continuing education opportunities. FCICA, the Flooring Contractors Association is a membership organization for floor covering contractors; it provides continuing education and other resources to members. The World Floor Covering Association (WFCA) is a membership organization for floor covering businesses. The WFCA, Ceramic Tile Education Foundation, International Masonry Institute, International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers, National Tile Contractors Association, National Wood Flooring Association, Tile Contractors’ Association of America, International Certified Floorcovering Installers Association, International Standards & Training Alliance, and the Tile Council of North America provide certification programs and other resources.
