Union representation for gaming workers is very strong in Las Vegas and less strong in Atlantic City. They can become members of UNITE HERE, a large union representing workers in hospitality. Additionally, there are many gaming industry associations. The American Gaming Association is an organization of casino associations, equipment manufacturers, and financial and professional services firms that serve the gaming industry. The National Indian Gaming Association represents Native American nations that offer gaming on their reservations. The Internet Gaming Council is "dedicated to internet gaming and promoting the positive message of responsible gambling by casino gaming sites and their affiliates." The American Horse Council is a membership organization for individuals and businesses who are involved in the horse racing industry. The National Thoroughbred Racing Association is a membership-based trade association for the thoroughbred racing and breeding industry. The Canadian Gaming Association represents the interests of the gaming industry in Canada.
