Private bankers do not belong to unions, but many associations provide useful resources. For example, the CFA Institute offers the chartered financial analyst credential and provides continuing education opportunities (including the certificate in investment performance measurement) and job-search resources. The Association of International Wealth Management offers membership for college students and current financial professionals, the certified wealth manager and certified international wealth manager credentials, and professional development classes. Other noteworthy organizations include the American Bankers Association, American College of Financial Services, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education, Association for Financial Professionals, Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Chartered Alternate Investment Analyst Association, fi360, Institute for Private Investors, International Association of Registered Financial Consultants, Institute of Business and Finance, Investment Adviser Association, and the Investments & Wealth Institute.
