Unions and Associations
A high percentage of mechanics (particularly mechanics employed by major airlines) are members of unions, including the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association, International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, Transport Workers Union of America, and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. Many mechanics are members of the Professional Aviation Maintenance Association.
