Unions and Associations
Many asbestos workers are represented by the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers. The union has locals all across the country and assists members with job improvement. Union members often earn higher wages than other workers and receive union benefits, such as insurance, pension plans, and representation. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Environmental Information Association provide information about asbestos regulations and hazards.
