Security systems installers and workers work in security systems offices and travel to residential and commercial buildings to install, maintain, or repair security systems and equipment. They carry tools and equipment that can be heavy. The work may also require climbing on ladders and/or working in cramped, tight spaces to thread wires through ceilings and roofs. They may work daytime hours, evenings, and/or weekends.
