Overview

Loss prevention managers make sure that companies' systems and programs are operating safely and correctly to protect their assets. Their work entails identifying potential risks and developing strategies to increase control over these risks. They also conduct investigations when such violations as internal theft or shoplifting occur. Many loss prevention managers work for large retail corporations. Loss prevention managers may also be known as asset protection managers.
