Nuclear Reactor Operators and Technicians

Three unions represent workers at nuclear power plants: the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Utility Workers Union of America, and the International Union of Operating Engineers. These organizations provide members with specialized industry training and apprenticeship programs in a variety of areas, including maintenance and operations. The American Nuclear Society, American Society for Nondestructive Testing, Institute of Nuclear Power Operations, and the Nuclear Energy Institute provide education, training, publications, events, and other resources.
