There are no unions specifically for horticultural technicians, but many find that they can join unions for agricultural workers or landscapers. Those who have more experience, such as a nursery owner, can join a professional organization such as the National Association of Landscape Professionals, which offers certification, an apprenticeship program, scholarships, a job board, landscape industry statistics, publications, and other resources. Other useful organizations include the American Horticultural Society, Tree Care Industry Association, Professional Grounds Management Society, and the International Society of Arboriculture.
