Unions and Associations
Hydropower production managers are not represented by unions. The major organizations for hydropower professionals are the National Hydropower Association and the International Hydropower Association. Other useful professional organizations include the Association of Energy Engineers, Waterpower Canada, Hydropower Foundation, Interstate Renewable Energy Council, Midwest Renewable Energy Association, and the National Society of Professional Engineers. The U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy provides interesting information about hydropower and marine energy.
