Medical transcriptionists are not represented by unions. The Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity is the major professional organization for medical transcriptionists. It offers membership, publications, mentoring, certification, continuing education classes, and other resources. The American Health Information Management Association also provides useful resources for medical transcriptionists.
