Clowns

Some clowns join the American Guild of Variety Artists, a labor union for singers, circus performers, dancers, variety performers, ice skaters, and theme park performers. Major membership organizations for clowns include the World Clown Association, International Jugglers’ Association, and Clowns of America, International. These organizations offer publications, scholarships, how-to videos, competitions, and conventions. State, regional, and local clown organizations—such as Texas Clown Association, Mid Atlantic Clown Association, and the Midwest Clown Association—also provide valuable resources and networking opportunities.
