Investor relations specialists work in comfortable offices. Those at small firms may be the only IR professional on staff. This can be stressful during busy times. Investor relations specialists travel frequently to meet with limited partners, potential investors, representatives of companies, and colleagues at satellite offices. A majority of hedge fund professionals work between 40 and 60 hours per week.
