Growth Hackers

Overview

Growth hackers use innovative and cost-effective digital marketing strategies and their product management, data analytics, and other tech skills to help businesses acquire and retain as many customers as possible in order to increase revenue. They are best known for helping cash-strapped start-ups grow quickly and compete in the marketplace, but they now work for companies of all sizes. The “hacker” in “growth hackers” refers to life hacks (i.e., tips and tricks that make daily living easier), not the often negative connotation of hackers who create digital havoc. Because of confusion over this word, growth hackers are increasingly referring to themselves as growth marketers, growth product managers, or directors of growth marketing.
