Military police are employed by the U.S. government in various military branches. More than 1.2 million active duty personnel served in the armed forces as of February 2024, including military police. Protective service personnel across the military branches serve in the Army, the Air Force, the Marine Corps, the Navy, as well as the U.S. Coast Guard.
