Musicians

Professional musicians generally hold membership in the American Federation of Musicians of the United States and Canada, and concert soloists also hold membership in the American Guild of Musical Artists. Music teachers in schools often hold membership in the Music Teachers National Association or the National Association for Music Education. The American Guild of Organists offers membership, certification, and other resources. The National Association of Schools of Music is an organization of nearly 630 accredited schools, colleges, and universities that provide music education. In addition, there are many musical associations and guilds at the state and local levels.
